Elementary Course for Web design
Web design elements are very important to design a professional website. There are many aspects to web designing, and we will discuss some important ones.
Here are some elements for a good web design:
Fonts
Use a font that is good enough to read. Avoid too fancy fonts, and stick to a medium size- that is easy to read, and is not too small. But make sure it is not overly large; else it will give a bad impression.
Colors
A plain black and white website does not look pretty. But an overly colourful website can be an eyesore as well. Use colours in moderation, and take care that you make use of the colour wheel. The colour wheel tells you which colours should not be used with each other, and which colours blend perfectly.
Layouts
A good layout is certainly important for good web design. Your layout should be such that the viewer can easily find the links that he is looking for. The more complicated you make it, the less user friendly it will become- thus driving traffic away.
Images
They say that an image is worth a thousand words, and this is true when it comes to web designing. You should use relevant images that carry your messages. Avoid using images just because they ‘look pretty’. Images should look good, as well as carry a message.
Page contents
Make sure that the contents of the page don’t make it too heavy to load. Some users might be working on slower connections, and your website may not reach out to them if it is too heavy.
Take care of these points, and you can have good looking web design rudiments. All you need is a little practice, and you can get the best web design.
